marilynandbob > We had quite a bit of snow this winter!!!
marilynandbob > Our trailer is very comfortable, and Rafiki has become really good at staying in the campsite and not running all over the place. While we were here there were a few bear sightings- it's that season, after all. Getting a little cool at night, but still very warm and comfortable.
marilynandbob > About a 90 minute drive from Durango is the tiny town of Dolores, and a few miles farther is a great National Forest campground, right on the West Dolores River. We stayed a few nights and met up with Kathleen and Milt May, who often camp here. It's very laid-back and quiet, and we were able to take some nice walks along the river, among other things.
marilynandbob > And here's the berm outside our house, looking to the east, with the setting sun creating aspenglow on the ridge of Smelter Mountain. There's some Russian Sage, Catmint and Margurite daisies, in addition to the Shastas and some sunflowers. By end of July, there are many dozens of sunflowers, more than in this photo taken in June.
We had quite a bit of snow this winter!!!
