marilynandbob > We visited Mary Lyle, an old friend of Bob's parents, who still lives in her home on Little Wolf Lake, where the Winslow's had their cabin.
marilynandbob > Here are Gayle and Art on the boat trip, with their house in the background!
marilynandbob > SO much snow... you can see where Bob has used the snowthrower.
marilynandbob > We had quite a bit of snow this winter!!!
marilynandbob > And here's the berm outside our house, looking to the east, with the setting sun creating aspenglow on the ridge of Smelter Mountain. There's some Russian Sage, Catmint and Margurite daisies, in addition to the Shastas and some sunflowers. By end of July, there are many dozens of sunflowers, more than in this photo taken in June.
marilynandbob > Looking west from outside our house. We've planted a lot of shrubs and flowers in the berm that surruonds the east and south of the house. Those sunflowers just take over! You can also see Shasta daisies, and some Russian Sage in the far background.
marilynandbob > On Tuesday, December 19, we had a huge blizzard; snowed all day and into the night. We had around a foot and a half of snow at our house. This system moved east, and shut down most of the front range for two days- Denver International Airport was closed and it was a historic storm for everyone in that area.
marilynandbob > Here's Bill and Tammie's house with Bill's shop behind it. Farther up the hill is their garden. We all three did some or all of our growing up in middle Tennessee, and we love this state and its many scenic wonders.
marilynandbob > I'm standing in front of Spruce Tree House, one of the ruins at Mesa Verde National Park, on the weekend celebration of the park's Centennial. The Ancestral Puebloan People (formerly called the Anasazi) lived here 1000 years ago, finally leaving due to drought. Their descendents are the current-day Pueblo Indian clans in New Mexico and Arizona.
