marilynandbob > Our 18th annual Holiday Party, December, 2005. We invite pretty much everyone we know to this open house, and we've even been known to have a bagpipe moment! We provide food; guests bring champagne (Yum!) and donations to the local food bank.
marilynandbob > Bob, with our friend Laura Godfrey, at our 2005 Holiday Open House. Laura is a sort of adopted family member, since 1977, when we were roommates in the "home for wayward girls" in Crested Butte. Ah, those long and solid friendships.
marilynandbob > New Year's Eve party at friends, Susan and Reece. Our second of three parties that day! Gotta bring in the new year right-
marilynandbob > Marilyn with Susan, our lovely hostess. Are we colorful, or what? Susan is the director of the Fort Lewis College counseling center, and her partner, Reece, is retired from teaching history there. They are terrific party people, both hosting and attending.
marilynandbob > A little visitor to the bird feeder, in December, 2005. We're watching through the window (so are the dogs!)
marilynandbob > There were 7 deer all together that day- they grazed on bird seed, drank from the basin we keep in the yard (heated in winter so it won't freeze) and moseyed on.
marilynandbob > Ringing in the New Year in the 'hood. We have the greatest neighborhood- we all know and party with each other. There's a bonfire, food and champagne; and it did snow- what more can you ask?
marilynandbob > Our neighborhood bonfire, with neighbors clustered around. The camera flash really "pops" the snowflakes.
marilynandbob > Right across from our house is a "wilderness area" where we often walk in summer and cross-country ski in winter. Dogs love it. Even though she's 11 years old and slowing down, Cheena (brown dog) has to go skiing. Rafiki (black/white dog) is in his prime, and runs everywhere.
